Employee Wellness Program

 

Navajo County is excited to partner with Vitality, a health and wellness company. As we roll out the program, we will provide updates to this site with details about 2024 challenges and incentives.  

Participation In Wellness Program

Navajo County remains committed to investing in the health and well-being of our employees with the belief that healthy employees will be happier, more productive, and have reduced benefit costs. Employees who participate in the wellness program will have the opportunity to receive up to $900 in wellness incentives per year. Participants must meet certain qualifications to earn the wellness incentives. Navajo County's Wellness Program is voluntary and the County does not require its employees to participate. Employees who are enrolled in Navajo County's health plan and complete the participatory activities will receive the contributions in their Health Savings Account.

If your spouse is enrolled in the County's health plan, you can receive an additional $300 in wellness incentives when they complete their preventive physical exam and biometric screening (lab work).

The Wellness Program has five key goals:

  • Help employees identify personal health risks

  • Encourage employees to take charge of their health.

  • Provide the motivation, education, and support that will hopefully make it easier for employees to adopt healthier lifestyles.

  • Control health care costs through disease prevention and better management.

  • Improve overall employee morale and well-being through group challenges.
